  • Profile

    For persons with lived stroke experience and their caregivers, the Heart & Stroke offers Live Well after Stroke, a FREE community- based program. This program encourages participants to actively engage in their own health to prevent another stroke.

    Live Well after Stroke is 7 sessions in length, 2 hours 1 time a week for 7 weeks. It is a small group setting of no more than 12 people and designed to share experiences, discuss health and encourage successful recovery. Led by trained volunteer facilitators, who are in many cases stroke survivors themselves, Live Well after Stroke is relevant and engaging.

    Live Well after Stroke programs are available throughout the province of BC and registration is needed.
