  • Profile

Island Health’s Brain Injury Program is an island-wide community-based program that provides services to assist adults with acquired brain injury in regaining, improving, or maintaining function and/or independence. Services fall into two broad categories:

    1) Community Services

    2) Community Residential Services. Services are subject to availability and are voluntary

A referral is required in order to access the program. The Brain Injury Program determines if an applicant is eligible for any service. There could be a fee associated with residential services.

    Located in: Island Health Authority.

Brain injury survivor, Michael, shares his journey of recovery and how Hospital to Homes helped him transition from the hospital setting to empowered community living.
