  • Profile

Community Therapists provides community based rehabilitation services to individuals and organizations. Our services enable people to function more fully in their communities including home, school and work.

Our acquired brain injury (ABI) rehabilitation services are aimed at assisting clients who have experienced a traumatic brain injury or stroke and have residual functional limitations. Limitations arising from ABI can create barriers that affect full participation in daily life including self-care, independent living, meaningful work and participation in leisure pursuits. Our ABI programs enable clients to maximize participation at home, school, the workplace and other community settings. Programs are delivered in collaboration with the client’s medical team and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach. Our assessments and recommendations consider the impact of aging with ABI to ensure supports and equipment will meet client needs over the long term.

We also offer an evidence based approach to concussion management that utilizes occupational therapy, physiotherapy and kinesiology. We believe the proper timing and utilization of client education, pacing, activity modification, vestibular therapy, exertion-graded exercise and graduated return to daily activity facilitates a return to normal functioning at home, school, sports and the workplace.

Community Therapists serves a number of communities in British Columbia. Community based services are available throughout Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Sea-to-Sky Region, Vancouver Island and the West Kootenays.

We invite you to explore our website to learn about our practice, people and services.
