    CVHIS promotes the health and well-being of members, and reduces incidences of brain injury in the community through prevention-based education. Support services are confidential and use strength-based, harm reduction approaches. The Brain Injury Survivors Peer Support Group provides an opportunity for survivors to meet for socialization in a peer environment.

    Program Eligibility:

    1. The participant must be a resident of the Comox Valley
    2. The family caregiver must provide care to an acquired brain injury survivor (includes stroke)
    3. The family caregiver or brain injury survivor must be under 65 years of age

    Located in: Island Health Authority.
