Family survivors will be able to meet with one and another and learn from each others’ personal experiences.

DAY 1 Friday, November 3, 2017

Registration opens 7:30AM. Presentation begins 8:00AM.

1. Trauma Informed Practice

Topics include:

  • traumatic stress reactions

  • implementing trauma-informed practice

  • correlations between traumatic brain injuries and traumatic stress

  • basic strategies for supporting clients

This is a chance for survivors, families and friends to learn about how the brain works, stroke and recovery. We also talk about life after a stroke, including strategies to help and available resources.
